Shipping and Returns Policy


If you exercise your right to cancel, the Product has been supplied in error, ordered in error or damaged we advise you to follow the following procedure.

Please contact us and receive authorisation for return / collection and your returns number.

All parts paid for must be collected within 30 days of the purchase.

Secure the Product and all of the original packaging materials including invoice in either the original box or one of similar construction.*1.3

Mail the package if returning and label it for our address.

If at time of call to customer services you were advised that the Product will be collected, please do as *1.3 but have the Parcel accessible for the courier to collect on the day agreed at time of call.

Returns for Products bought in error are simple; but are subject to certain rules.

You shall be liable for the cost incurred in returning Products to us and we shall not be obliged to accept any product if such costs have not been paid in full.

Each item must be returned in the same condition as it was sent and undamaged. Damaged goods due to your negligence will not be accepted for refund.

Once the Product has been returned refunds will be made in the original payment method.

All requests will be processed after we have inspected and verified the condition of the Products. Returns take approximately five business days to process upon receipt of the item.

We offer Free Delivery to all UK mainland addresses (Excluding postcodes listed above) for items under 21KG AND SMALLER THAN LENGTH:175CM GIRTH:300CM. This excludes all body panels such as bumpers, bonnets, doors, boot lids and tailgates.


If you wish to order and live within the UK and do not live on the mainland i.e. islands, armed forces etc. then please contact us for a shipping quote prior to bidding.


Parcels up to 5 KG will be sent via FedEx or DPD providing we cannot use fleet of delivery vehicle’s, please allow up to 3 working days for Mainland and 10 working days for offshore.

Parcels up to 25KG will be sent standard delivery, please allow 3 – 4 working days for mainland. Offshore UK may take slightly longer so please allow up to 7 working days.

Parcels that are of heavy weight will be sent via Silverlake Fleet. Please allow 3 – 4 working days for delivery.

NOTE: NOTE: If the parts you require are urgent, we are able to offer a 24 / 48 hour, Saturday AM or even timed delivery, please contact us for a quote (This is not always possible, please call to check)


Up to 5KG parcels are sent using the most efficient courier. Please allow up to twenty-one working days for delivery. Times will vary according to country.

Parcels over 25KG will be sent using one of our specialized networks of couriers. Please allow up to 14 working days for delivery.

Whilst we endeavour to deliver any order within the times stated above, the purchaser acknowledges that any delivery dates or times stated should be regarded as an estimate only.

We cannot guarantee delivery for a certain day or time, but you can expect delivery within the time stated above and between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.


Please note couriers require someone be present to sign for all packages. If no one is available for the package, the courier will leave a card notifying of the failed delivery attempt.

The courier may attempt to leave the parcel with a neighbour, failing that will attempt the delivery normally the next working day.

If customer fails to receive or fails to contact the courier, the parcel will be returned to us at the customers` expense.


Parts purchased will comply with the Sale & Supply of Goods Act 1994 and be of “Satisfactory Quality” unless specified at the time of sale.

Electric / Mechanical parts will carry a minimum guarantee of 90 days and only parts shown on your invoice/receipt are covered by the guarantee/warranty.

If any part supplied by Silverlake proves to be faulty during this period, it may be returned to for an exchange. If no exchange is available within 48 hours a refund will be given.

Any part(s) correctly supplied by Silverlake and returned after 14 days is subject to a 20% handling charge.

Engines: Customers must state if ancillaries are required. If request has been made, stating complete engine wanted, this means head, block and sump, it does not mean with ancillaries as these may be sold separately, any ancillaries left on the engine e.g water pump, cam belt (We always recommend the fitting of a new cam belt) are given free of charge and are not covered by this guarantee.

This guarantee is void if any part supplied has been tampered with in any way i.e seal broken, taken apart etc. Please note all parts supplied, are marked with our company stamp/initials, removal of these marks will invalidate your guarantee/warranty.

No part may be altered, modified, or dismantled in anyway (except for routine service adjustment) without our permission. Failure to comply with these terms will invalidate your guarantee/warranty.

Our Guarantee covers parts only. It does not cover any labour charges or from any fault arising from the fitting of this part. Silverlake will refund the price of the part in full but will not pay for any fitting charges. It is your responsibility to check that any part(s) supplied is correct prior to fitting.

All goods should be inspected upon delivery before signing to ensure that the item has not been damaged during transit. If goods prove to be damaged, do not sign, refuse delivery & contact Silverlake within 1 working day. This is to ensure that, if necessary, a claim can be made against the courier company. Should the delivery driver does not allow time to inspect the goods sign the Delivery Note to obtain them but sign for them damaged.

Mail order: Under selling regulations a PRIVATE CONSUMER has a 14 day “cooling off” period in which he/she may return the goods for a refund. However, delivery is a separate contract and once completed is non-refundable.

Goods once signed for are to be returned at the Customers expense. In the event that a part is supplied as ordered but the customer has ordered incorrectly, we must be contacted immediately, and the part returned to Silverlake within 7 days of purchase at the cost of the customer.

Refunds will only be made upon the return of the goods to our premises.

All engines purchased must be fitted with a new timing belt/cam belt/chain and filled with new oil and filter upon installation. Failure to follow this procedure will result in the guarantee/warranty being rendered null and void.

Gearboxes must be filled with new oil upon installation. Failure to follow this procedure will result in the guarantee/warranty being rendered null and void.

Please ensure all goods are checked thoroughly before being signed for. Refunds are not always possible for goods that have been damaged whilst in transit. The words unexamined or unchecked on the delivery note/docket are not acceptable. Silverlake will not be held responsible for the refund of goods damaged in transit if they have been signed for as in good condition.

By clicking “Proceed to Check out” before clicking to “Proceed to Paypal” on this website, you’ll have to agree to be bound by these terms & conditions. Title to the goods shall remain with Silverlake until paid in full with cleared funds.

Part(s) sold that are shipped abroad (outside mainland UK) void their Silverlake warranty.

Warranty forms will be sent out with the relative part(s) and will need to be filled in and returned to the Website Department at Silverlake within 7 days to validate your warranty.
